Martin Nicholas

Martin Nicholas - Chief Executive Officer

Martin was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Greencross in August 2015, having joined Greencross in the role of Chief Financial Officer in May 2014. Martin has over 28 years experience as an executive and finance professional in retail, services and FMCG. Prior to joining Greencross, Martin was the CFO of Study Group International, a private equity owned education business, and served as Group Finance Director for Rentokil Initial PLC, a multinational services business listed onthe LSE. Martin also spent 22 years in FMCG with Unilever across a number of locations including the United Kingdom, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Australia, most recently as CFO for the Australian business.

Tanya Houghton

Tanya Houghton - Chief Operating Officer, Retail

Tanya Houghton leads the Greencross Retail Team for Australia and New Zealand. Tanya has over 20 years of experience working in retail, including 12 years with Greencross. Prior to her appointment as COO Retail, Tanya held a number of senior management positions in Greencross’ retail business including COO New Zealand, National Operations Manager, National Marketing Manager and National Business Development Manager.

Darren Maier

Darren Maier - Chief Operating Officer, Vet Services

Darren leads the Greencross Vet Services Team. Darren has over 17 years of leadership experience working in professional services, delivered across multi-site businesses. Darren is responsible for managing Greencross’ network of over 150 vet clinics and delivering excellence in clinical standards, client service and professional development.

Richard Bowker

Richard Bowker - Chief Merchant

Richard leads the Greencross Product and Merchandising Teams. Richard has over 23 years of experience working in retail including 14 years with Greencross. Prior to his appointment as Chief Merchant, in his role as GM Merchandise, Richard was instrumental in successfully expanding Greencross’ product range (including private label), growing the capability of the product team and strengthening supplier relationships.

Matt Toohey

Matthew Toohey - Chief Business Development Officer

Matthew leads the Greencross Business Development Team which is responsible for M&A, property and new business opportunities. Matt has over 22 years of experience working in commercial and corporate property, including 2 years with Greencross. Prior to joining Greencross, Matthew was the General Manager of Property for Bunnings Group Limited.

Warwick Thresher

Warwick Thresher – Chief Financial Officer

Warwick was appointed Chief Financial Officer in January 2016. Warwick joined Greencross in 2014, and as General Manager, Finance has been responsible for all financial planning and analysis and controllership across the Group. Before joining Greencross, Warwick was Group Financial Controller of Study Group International, a private equity owned education business and has previously held senior finance positions with InterContinental Hotels Group (a FTSE 100 company), MITIE Group (a FTSE 250 company) and GE Capital UK. Prior to this Warwick qualified as a chartered accountant in the UK with Arthur Andersen working across both assurance and corporate recovery in the London and Sydney offices.

David Bissett

David Bissett – Chief Operating Officer, Supply Chain and Business Systems

David leads Greencross' supply chain and IT business systems. David has over 15 years experience working in retail and supply chain. Most recently, prior to joining Greencross, David was Head of Vendor Management at Coles, where he led a number of major supply chain projects. Prior to that, David worked as a supply chain consultant with PwC.

David Hutchinson

David Hutchinson – Chief Marketing Officer

David leads Greencross' customer, sales, marketing and digital activities. David has over 20 years experience in sales and marketing in retail, service, leisure and FMCG both in listed and private equity backed businesses. David has expertise in business & brand strategy, business transformation, equity, franchise and joint-venture business structures, commercial marketing strategies, digitally-led, integrated brand communication, digital, eCRM and loyalty strategies, e-commerce and driving benefit from vertically integrated businesses. Most recently, prior to joining Greencross, David was Marketing Director of B&Q PLC, a retail market leader in the UK DIY category. He also spent 5 years as Marketing Director of Costa Coffee (the second largest coffee shop business in the world).

Vincent Pollaers

Vincent Pollaers – Chief Human Resources Officer, General Counsel and Company Secretary

Vince leads Greencross' HR, learning and development, and compliance, legal and corporate governance activities. Vince has over 20 years experience as a lawyer and strategy consultant. Prior to joining Greencross, Vince was a corporate lawyer at Freshfields and held positions as General Counsel and Strategy Executive of IBM Australia and Managing Director, Asia Pacific of McKinney Rogers.p>
